catchin up on things

hey everyone that even attempts to read this mess of a page i call a blog.

i know it's been a while and i hate that i don't rly blog like i should, but work keeps me busy. now that i have started working my 10hr days (basically 11 hr shifts...i have an hr lunch) i don't rly have much time to get on my computer. sure i check my facebook here and there and check out twitter (not even like i used to)...i don't seem to have time for my blog to update it.

work is good the calls i get i swear i could write a book and it's only been like the 3rd month i've been working. ppl are crazy bout their phone and then they expect us to fix every single problem or at least have the answer for them (like how would i have the number to ur friend in greece if you don't even know the number HAHA). the ppl are rly cool, i still chill with ppl from my training class and i've rly got to know some of the ppl that have been there before me (still learning the ropes). i mean granted i don't want to be doing this all my life (if i could work my way up the chain then so be it), but just answering calls for years (NAH that's okay). it's a fun job

wow i've been killin the movie game...if you've read previous posts or you know me, you know i love movies (i've been to the movies so many times to see many diff things). def add me as a friend on facebook or get flickster and add me as a friend you will def see [there is an update about every other weekend with a movie i've been to or seen].

i can't complain life is good last weekend met with the photographer and the florist for the wedding and i must say i have rly good taste or at least i know what i want/like. you may not find me to be outspoken but you rly just don't know me then.

well i think that's enough for now i rly need to update this more [so i will try...even though that's easier said then done].

job/bday

it's been a couple weeks since my last post and i must say i've been on my grizzy with the job hunting and it paid off. I have a job and will start training on monday the 31st of this month. I will be helping the nation with their vonage technical questions [it help desk support]. i'm so happy for that, because it wasn't months and months before i got a job...just a couple weeks.

also i'm now 25! my birthday was this past thursday and I have rly had a great birthday weekend...I mean i got surprised by my mom, dad, brother, aunt, grandma cousins and friends. I never realized I was this loved haha, but I owe it all to my fiance erika because she put that in motion. You don't even know it's been so long since i've seen my family...had to be when i graduated was the last time, so it's been about a year in a few months.

I've seen two movies over my bday the goods: live hard sell hard and inglorious basterds...oh how i love goin to the cinema!

I also got to go to nakatos [japanese restaurant] the food was exceptional but very pricey but it's all good we eat and were merry...I COULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR A BETTER BIRTHDAY. thanks to my friends and my family and my baby erika!

been a while

as the title states it's been a while since my last post. i have decided to update whoever reads this blog [maybe i'm just writing it to get my thoughts outta my head idk].

as of now i am jobless, i have finally moved into the apartment in charlotte and have left boone/blowing rock. I feel good about things just ready to start a new chapter in my life. so now i can hang with my friends, look for a good job and just do things I haven't done. for instance, i'm hittin up a rollerderby meet with my boy wayne on aug 9th.

my fiance says that tv shows and the computer come a close second to her...i don't believe that one bit but i can't lie i do love my tv shows. they are like movies but condensed form, i get taken away and i enjoy that. the tv shows i've been watchin recently are true blood [crazy good show, love vampires], hung, entourage. i rly can't wait till september starts up cause house and lie to me and basically every other show that ended in the fall will be back.

all in all i'm just ready to live my life and try to make something happen. just live life [that's the new philosiphy]. alright i'm signin off hopefully i'll be back and it wont be like a month or so.

COMICS!

i have to say recently since working the night shift it was really gotten me back into read comics. I mean really reading comics and mangas.

Some of the comics I'm reading at the moment [look them up]:
Locke & Key[has finished this beginning story]
Locke & Key: Head Games
Umbrella Academy: Dallas [it has completed it's 6 chapter arc]
Destroyer
Irredeemable
The Walking Dead [have been reading this for a while...love zombie stories and this is a great one]
Ex-Machina [who wouldn't want to be able to control all things electrical]
Hack/Slash [i mean it's a story about a girl killing off killers like chucky. They even had the re-animator!]
Push
Gears of War
The sword [magical sword that gives a parapalegic the ability to walk again and kick ass..need i say more]

these are just to name a few. I have others that i've already read and may update those, but these are to get you started. they are all great comics, some bloody some just creepy but all badass.

Season Finales

Tis that time of year again when all my shows that I watch have come to a close and I have to sit and wait until they come back on or I find diff shows to replace them.

Season Finales:
Dollhouse: great season finale and i'm happy to hear that fox has picked it up for a second season [they better have lol]. This has to be one of my fav new shows for obvious reasons.

Chuck: this show has been a fav of mine for two seasons, and I was sad that nbc had to even think about renewing this for a third season they should have just known...I mean everyone that watched it knew it needed another season especially with that finale. I KNOW KUNG FU. Even though this comeback comes with exceptions (i.e. people not returning, and only 13 eps, etc)

Castle: i'm happy to see this get another season, I have really enjoyed the character progression and the way it has been goin and i'm glad other people watch it as well.

CSI: i'm sure it will be back no doubt about that [just the ending with Laurence cappin the dude in the trunk...shoot i would have done the same thing...nothing he could have done to talk that dude down].

LOST: omg that season finale blew my mind. I mean they finally show Jacob and tell a lil about him and "his enemy" and then he dies [or so we think..idk]. I can't wait for the next and last season of Lost, it will surely be missed.

Lie to Me: the season finale was good...i kinda wish they would have had the one before the season finale be the season finale, but I can see what they did and it was still very well done. I'm happy to know this has been picked up for another season as well. As I still need to see more people liein and also lightman's protege step her game up. Also, hopefully Mekhi will be back in a supporting role [moved from er to lie to me] good to see he's gettin ample work.

HOUSE: that season finale I was like the ep before couldn't have happened and low and behold I was right. Wow at the end I was just like F you vicodin. I mean to hallucinate that much and believe it so, so strongly WOW...they better bring that back.

Fringe: the season finale seemed fitting. I'm so happy it got picked up for another season especially with that ending. I mean i always knew there was something off between peter and his dad. I mean his dad sayin you remember this about ur childhood and peter being like nope don't remember that. Now I know why....THAT'S CRAZY. I will be back for seconds with this show.

24: well it was 24 wasn't really a cliff hanger ending, but I mean 24 is always so action packed so it never really feels like a season finale. I will be waiting for season 8.

Scrubs: gotta love scrubs I will be sad when it is finally off the air [whenever that will be]. Shoot if it does get picked up for another season I can't wait.

Heroes: has been pretty stagnate to me...but I do still watch this show religously. I just can't get enough of it . I want them to fully tell the story they want to tell. So i'm happy to know it will be back for another season. Especially with that season finale...nathan gone slyer/nathan hybrid...WHAT!?!

Sad to see them go [shows that wont be back for another season]:
Terminator Sarah Conner Chronicles: I mean I knew this was gonna happen but I just didn't want it to happen. It had a great run and it's sad to see it not returning.

The Unusuals: Even though the season isn't officially over yet. It will not be picked up for another season. This sucks, because I really enjoy watchin this show. I have connected with the characters...but I guess not everyone gets the show.

IDK if there will be more seasons:
Sources say the law and order franchise may not be returning...This would be so stupid because I love law and order and it's counterparts, even the UK edition. I would hate to see this great show be gone from television forever. Only the big wig tv people hold their fate in their hands.

It's been a while since my last post but next post will be a summer movie post...UNTIL NEXT TIME

They Live

the 1988 movie they live showed me that aliens may exist and we wouldn't even know. they rule our country and send out subliminal messages to us all thru our tv sets, posters and basically anything and you wouldn't know it.

this is a clip from the movie showin that basically anything was sayin to do something and the people didn't know. i have come to a conclusion that with tv today they still use those antics. gettin people to do what they want or buy what they want, but because it's been drilled into our heads or they use catchy songs and things of that nature.

CASE IN POINT...mickey d's with there new FILET O FISH commercial. the song is so catchy that it made me want and even buy their filet o fish and i don't even like fish sandwiches like that...that's how they do things.

everyone has been all over this...i mean it's a nice commercial and funny. WATCH OUT EVERYONE they do live and they control us whether we want to believe it or not.

A Mirror With Memory

for the longest I have had this itch to be an ammature photog. I've researched cameras within my price range and also look for settings and iso rates, and aperture etc etc. the camers that I have chosen to want to own is what follows:

This camera I have researched a ton. I even found where I can get it for under $200. It has everything I need can take awesome videos and the best yet it takes professional photos without having that professional price. It's a great in between camera [a step up from the point and shoot, but a step below a digital slr].

Product Features

  • 8.0-megapixel CCD captures enough detail for photo-quality 16 x 22-inch prints
  • Ultra-powerful 12x optical zoom; up to ISO 1600 for steady shooting in any lighting conditions
  • High-resolution 2.5-inch vari-angle LCD for easy shooting at any angle
  • DIGIC III Image Processor with improved Face Detection Technology and red-eye correction for sharper images
  • Print/Share Button for easy direct printing and downloading
Eventually I will get this camera and will be snappin photos and being the photog that I know I can be. Haha that sounds so cliche. I will get this camera though in due time, I do have vacations and what not coming up.

And I'll Form The Head

I may not have the funds to be a sneaker head, but that does not stop me from wanting the hot kicks. If money was not an issue these shoes will be all mine. Which shoes you may ask...well I'll tell you. The Reebok Voltron Sneaker Collection {circa 97 or so}!!!
The shoes range from the extreme hotness to me [the pumps], to the next so extreme [the regular classics] don't get me wrong they are all fire in their own right, but for me the pumps just scream BUY ME NOW. It also did not hurt that when you bought a sneaker they came with the toy that corresponded with that said color.

You can still find these if you look around on the internet. I've looked on ebay, but still lackin the funds that I need for these that is not used for bills and such.

The black lion was always the hottest to me...I don't know why maybe it's cause of my love for the color black. So of course the black Reebok pump would catch my eye first. First of all the pumps were classic back then, but not alot of people owned them [or maybe they did, i know i had a pair]. Shoot I want to go back to the good old days and feel hip with a pair of Pumps. The next ones I would cop would be the yellow, then the red and the green and blue would follow.

Eventually I will cop them...I was an 80's baby[loved the cartoon & owned the toys at one point in time] so once I get them I will cherish them haha. You can't tell me having these wouldn't be pure FIRE!

it's a MADWORLD [review]

In MadWorld, Varrigan City has become a target for a group of terrorists known as "The Organizers". The Organizers have taken over the city and transformed it into the setting for a game show called Death Watch, where the city's citizens are being forced to fight for their lives against mysterious enemies, for a prize of 100 million dollars.

MadWorld features highly stylized graphics that use a limited color palette of high contrast black and white with red blood, partially inspired by Frank Miller's Sin City graphic novels, which I loved so I would totally be into this.

Now you are Jack: A mechanic and former marine with a chainsaw equipped to his right arm, Jack is sent to Varrigan City by the President in order to help collapse Death Watch. Jack is the lead protagonist and player character of MadWorld, and is voiced by Steven Blum.

Right when I started the game I instantly noticed the voice of the king of voice overs. Steve Blum. That alone sells this game for me, just to hear him talk is crazy, cause he's so badass.

This game is not for the faint of heart or the kiddies/parents that just want their wii to be party games and fairies and stuff like that. This is a hard hitting romp of bloody good fun and the vulgarity insues [gotta love extreme violence and extreme cussin in a video game]. Also, anything that has a dude with a chainsaw on his arm...it's all good in my book.

I have to say THANK YOU SEGA for making a game like this and putting it on the wii, the interaction of the wiimote and the nunchuck is second nature. Shoot i'm already shaking the controllers around as is lmao. The button position is easy for anyone to take on and then with the tutorial like first stage YOUR ALL SET.

I give this game 5.0/5.0, hey it may be short but I know I can go back and play this game over and over, especially when i'm frustrated or something. BLOODSHED & MAYHEM!!!!

Let's play wit dolls

New favorite show at the moment has to be Dollhouse. I have enjoyed everything from Joss Whedon and this show is not exception. The premise is different, but it's something i've thought about and i'm sure others have thought about before. I mean who hasn't thought about creatin the perfect mate [start with a clean slate...add a little this, a little that and PRESTO...instant perfection...right right]

Me and my friend LayZ [can't say his real name, he has warrants lol] have tons of conversations about this show, how they do things, how that aussie chick looks weird to us, etc. Also, how the detective is gettin played by the dollhouse HARD. Can I say that the fbi dudes neighbor is tryin really hard and not gettin anywhere, fbi detective dude is having none of that...i feel sorry for her, she comes barin gifts [lasagna] and her gifts [chesticles hangin out for the world to see] and old buddy is like yep thanks CYA.

I can't wait for this show to progress more, hopefully FOX doesn't end up canceling this show like they did Firefly. I'm sure they wont since it's gettin such praise. Hey Joss Whedon w/ Eliza Dushku and Amy Acker can do no wrong in my book.

thoughts

decided to make a blog...just to put all those random thoughts to circle the brain on the web.
